Aptly named, Big Bubba is Turbosmart’s newest and biggest blow off valve. Aimed at big horsepower and big capacity engines, Big Bubba needed a personality to match. The concept for the campaign revolved around a central figure – Bubba – a spokesman for the product. The campaign was very left field using off-the-wall humour to communicate the product’s features. The success of the campaign relied on casting the right person as Bubba to introduce the product to the market.
Promoted heavily online, the campaign centered around the “Subtlety is Overrated” video and included website banners, facebook and google ads and a “Big Bubba Says” competition.
